Named after the rugged British Columbia mountain range it was designed to excel in, the Bugaboo has major features that set it apart from all other stretchers.
Model 11-0126 is made up of a Fiberglass shell and Stainless Steel frame, and weighs in at 27 lbs.
The secondary rail, set close to the bottom of the stretcher, allows the rescuer to secure the patient utilizing an almost unlimited number of tie-in positions. It comes standard with four rescue-rated straps that are strong enough to aid in your tie-in system, and the bottom of the stretcher is flat, allowing for the greatest comfort possible to the patient.
The Bugaboo has an 18 inch wide clearance on the inside, allowing room for even some of the widest backboards to be used in your rescues.
The top tube is 7/8 inch material, giving excellent comfort and gripping ability, and the standard patented StratLoad™ Attachment points allow for solid and fast clip-ins for your rigging. The struts are completely round, allowing you to tie in or easily clip your carabiners to for vertical raise and lower operations.
Available as a split-apart stretcher only, our connection system was developed in Yosemite , and over the years we have worked hard at improving on the original concept. We have made a significant improvement in the overall safety of our system through the development of our patent-pending LocSaf ™ Upper Connector. With this innovation, you are able to visually see that the Collet is safely turned all the way on, and more importantly, locking the Collet in place so it is not allowed to back off when scraped against a wall etc. while being raised or lowered.
Our composite shells are also specially constructed utilizing a “Light RTM” (resin transfer mold) method which ensures highly accurate resin-saturation as well as resin-to-fiber ratios. The end-result is you can have ultimate confidence in its strength and reliability. |
